About Me
As a dedicated Technology Specialist at Homewood High School, I bridge the gap between instructional technology and technical support. My role blends Technology Coaching, where I help educators integrate technology authentically into their lessons, with IT collaboration, ensuring seamless tech functionality across the school.
With over a decade in education—eight years as a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher and four years in instructional technology—I bring a unique perspective to supporting teachers. My passion lies in equipping educators with the confidence and tools to maximize technology’s impact in the classroom. Whether through co-planning lessons, hands-on training, or troubleshooting challenges, I strive to make teachers feel empowered, supported, and seen.
Beyond my primary role, I also serve as the Building Test Coordinator, Inventory Manager, and Peer Helper Sponsor, further strengthening my leadership within the school community. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education: Family and Consumer Sciences and a Master’s Degree in School Counseling, along with certifications in various EdTech platforms, including Schoology, Quizziz, SchoolAI, PowerSchool, and Google Educator.
As a lifelong learner, I am committed to staying at the forefront of educational technology, continuously adapting to new tools and research to better serve teachers and students. I look forward to connecting with other educators and technology coaches as we work together to enhance digital learning experiences.
