Professional Learner

"Professional learning isn’t just about acquiring knowledge—it’s about applying it to create meaningful, student-centered experiences. As a lifelong learner, I am committed to staying at the forefront of educational technology, ensuring that teachers feel equipped, confident, and supported in their digital instruction."

As a lifelong learner, I am committed to continuously expanding my knowledge and skills to better serve educators and students. In my role as a Technology Specialist at Homewood High School, I actively seek out opportunities to stay ahead of emerging educational technologies, ensuring that the teachers I support have access to the most effective tools and strategies.

With a background in both teaching and counseling, I understand the importance of intentional, research-based professional growth. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education: Family and Consumer Sciences and a Master’s Degree in School Counseling, both of which have shaped my approach to instructional technology and teacher support. Additionally, I have earned certifications in leading EdTech platforms such as Schoology, Quizziz, SchoolAI, PowerSchool, and Google Educator, allowing me to integrate the best digital resources into classrooms.

Beyond formal education, I thrive on collaborative learning—engaging with fellow educators, attending workshops, and participating in leadership cohorts to refine my expertise. My goal is to not only adopt new technology but to understand how it transforms teaching and learning in meaningful ways. By staying at the forefront of EdTech innovation, I ensure that teachers feel equipped, confident, and supported in their digital instruction.

I believe that professional learning is not just about acquiring knowledge—it’s about applying it to create impactful, student-centered experiences. My passion for ongoing growth, adaptability, and leadership fuels my dedication to helping educators harness technology’s full potential.
